How much can I customize the storefront gate?
It starts with your active theme's typography and colors. In Shopify's Theme Editor you can adjust the message, buttons, colors, corner radius, exit destination, and visitor memory duration without editing theme code.
Does the app automatically approve IDs?
No. Authorized staff from the same Shopify store make every approval, rejection, or replacement request.
How does the app handle ID images?
Images are normalized, stripped of embedded metadata, stored outside public Shopify Files, and scoped to the submitting store and paid order. Staff links expire after two minutes, and merchants choose a raw-image retention period from 1 to 30 days.
Can the app help coordinate fulfillment?
Merchants can optionally request an app-owned fulfillment hold while review is incomplete. Shopify features, timing, other apps, and merchant actions can affect holds, so staff must verify order status before fulfillment.
Can version one target only certain products?
No. When the review workflow is enabled, every newly paid order enters review. Product and market rules are planned for a later version.
What Shopify setup is required?
The store needs Shopify Basic or higher and the Online Store sales channel. The merchant enables the theme app embed, adds the Thank You upload block, and turns on the workflow after confirming every newly paid order should enter review.
How much does Age Gate App cost?
A one-time $19.99 USD app charge per Shopify store, approved and billed through Shopify. There is no recurring subscription.
What support is included?
Installed merchants can create and follow text-only support tickets directly inside Shopify admin. The support desk does not accept attachments and tells merchants not to email ID images.
